Doing ok, not making as much progress as the first few weeks of training prior to the contest but it's a marathon not a sprint.

My weight hasn't gone down, but my pants are felling a tad looser, and my strength is slowly coming back. Gonna try to suffer through a half ass leg workout tonight, these tiny quads are killin' me.

The lack of ROM in that ankle has to suck, I feel for you! If I couldn't work my legs hard I'd probably quit working out.

It does, I can't do the squatting motion or leg press because of it. I'm relegated to super light leg extensions and curls.

Did great the first week on working out, but been working on various projects this week. Should get back on it after my trip this weekend.

Down to 178 and holding for last few days.

Why'd you stop the cardio when it's coming up on pool season?

I have lost about all the fat that I feel I should at this time.
I would figure that I am around 12% or so and sitting at 234lbs(I'm 6/2).
The mirror has made me happy, therefore, I'm happy.
With as intense of a workout as I do, plus my diet...I shouldn't gain any additional fat anyways.

Start Weight - 274
Today - 263.5

Took a hard core approach to the diet to get a jumpstart, will move into something more manageable in a week or so.

not in the comp, but I am trying to get into spring break shape (single digit b/f). So far ive been doing pretty good...football has helped me to keep with cardio. But on the down side...alcohol consumption has been at a high. And will not get any better until after spring break.

good luck everyone

That's way low for you, but you've already stated that it was a kick-start, and not maintenance.

yeah, oh god no, i couldn't do this long term, just something to get me past 275, where i've stayed since last Novemeber, through the holidays, etc.

275 became my new "whatever" weight. Just ate better, but still drank, etc. And have hovered there.

I just need a week or two kick start to get things in gear, then back to what i did last year that go me from 315 to 275.

not in the comp but been working out for the last month and a half. I've lost almost 15lbs and my gut isn't protruding anymore. This week i've uped my running to 3miles and walking and cool down for another mile (almost an hour on the treadmill). Not too much weight lifting, cardio is my main thing, plus my ab workouts. I probably work hardest doing my pushups with my perfect pushups, seems to work pretty good. Started around 205 and now almost at 190. I think it's going to take me getting down to around 180ish for my face to really start thining out like i want it to.

I'm wanting to be able to take my shirt off in front of people without being embarressed

Too bad there isn't such a thing as fat-loss memory...

I was actually able to leg press 4 plates for 12 reps tonight, and withstood a painful 30 min on the elliptical machine. For me personally that's better progress than any 5-8lbs of "water weight."

I've noticed gains in strength more than anything so far. I've managed to stick with my diet about 85% of the time. I need to tighten that up a bit more. I've got a mtn bike race tomorrow at Bar H...so I'm hitting the carbs today. Once that's over, I'll have to curtail those again. A little over a year ago, I was at 26% body fat. At the start of this contest, I was at 16.5%. I'm down to 13.5% now. My gut has slimmed out a little more. I think to get much lower, I'm really gonna have to stay on top of my diet.

I have to admit that I didn't do shit the first week. I drank like a fish, ate poorly, and didn't exercise. Somehow I'm down 2 lbs. but I suspect that's just my body weight doing its natural fluctuation of water weight. I woke up today motivated... ate a light yogurt for breakfast, drinking water, and already did a one hour workout. NO WINE tonight dang it!

Lost like a pound, but so far an inch around my waist and 3 inches around my hips. I have also increased my strength since I started working out again.
