Workout Advice wanted...

OK so a small back story...

i am 6'2" about 188 right now, but it is not muscle! i am slim looking and have been much fitter in the past, in fact i spent a month and a half in the desert this summer and was the tonest(if that is a word) i have ever been after backpacking everyday.....well i got back and put on about 15 pounds since then, i would like to get to a tone looking 175 in about 2-3 months time, i have tried bulking up before in life and it never really happens for me, i will be doing protein shakes at least once a day but am wanting basic advice for what kind of workouts to do how and how often...

Eating wise my wife is on this eat clean diet, it is more meals a day but in smaller portions, most meals consist of chicken, pork, or turkey - very little red meat, we have a lot of deer meat also in the freezer, i would say that we eat healthy, mostly snack on fruits and vegtables....

i was thinking about 20 minutes of cardio on a daily basis and certain groups of muscles daily( i know you are suppose to do this)...but besides that where to start?

I do roughly 2 miles a day walking. about 45 min or so. Bench press 5 sets of 10 curls 5 sets 5 sets of shoulders 5 sets of abs and i also like to use the dip/chin assist machine. I usually do this routine every other day. Its up to you some folks have their own routine they like to do. Be disciplined and dont eat junk and you will see a difference just stay with it.
