pulled hamstring

Playing softball tonight I was sprinting and dove at a line shot. I have never sprained anything or had any other injuries to my legs. This is actually a re aggravation from about 2 weeks ago.which I thought had healed enough to run around like I was doing pre hamstring pull. I read I should use crutches to help the recovery process. Is that too drastic? It actually is pretty bad, and I am not one to show pain, but this is a real biatch. The 1st time I did it it was bad enough where I limped around but not noticeably, now it just plain kills me to walk on it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have been icing it and keeping it wrapped up and elevated.

Hamstrings can nag you for years, if you don't give it time to heal.

If you have crutches and it doesn't interfere with your day to day activities, then use them. You need to stay the hell off it for as long as you can, and do some research on rehabing it.

need to see physical therapist. I know a good one. it is not gonna heal right by just resting. colligen will set in between the tears and cause not to repair perfectly. there is a procedure that can be done that will fix it. but you should have it looked at for sure! that is if you dont want to have problems with it again in the future.

need to go faster!
