You youngsters got me thinking...
I've been slacking off way to many years in the gym.
I lost my workout partner in 1990 when he got out of the Marines just before Desert Storm.
He was 5'9" 205 lbs. He was a power lifter from his college days. He did a competition in Florida when we were TAD at Homestead AFB.
He pulled a 585 deadlift, 620 squat, and 410 bench.
I've never competed, but since he got out, I've been lifting on my own.
I started at 6' and 170 at 19, now that I'm 40 I'm at 220 lbs.
I haven't been pushing myself for years, just going to the gym and going through the motions.
I guess I should get serious again.
I did chest today and used the Hammer Chest bench machine for 340x6 , incline dumbells 110s x6 for 3, and then some decline bench 225x8 for 3 sets, and finished off with the Hammer Strenth chest fly 250x8 for 3.
I'm gonna be sore tomorrow.
