haha, thanks bro. Yeah 655 went up easy, i dont want tax my CNS to much, a failed attempt could set my training back 2 weeks!

Today was my first day training for the Texas Cup meet on November 1st.
My best rack pull to date is 705lbs. I should pass that easy next month.

Today was my first day to even try a rack pull and I worked up to 315 for 5 reps...

Guess I had a good trainer, good technic always helps.

I am sure I will feel it in the morning, that's why I didn't try to do any more.

I think even Greg was "a little" impressed

I started him slow on Deadlifts last week. He wanted to keep going but i wouldnt let him. haha
The back extensions we did today will hit him harder than the Rack Pulls.

He's making crazy progress for sure. Losing over 40lbs in 2 months is no joke.

Congrats man, but you F-ed that bar up(with the use of chalk)!

I just did shrugs last night(585lbs for sets of 6-8) and I always start out on the 2 bar rack(probably one setting above the one you have yours sitting on).
I'm 6/4, so it's quite a pull for me to get the weight up for shrugs, but I LOVE the way my lower back feels the next day.
I have to pull up the weight for the shrugs, but the only problem is holding onto the weight(even with my straps).
Honestly, I don't think I could even pull up 705.
You are definately strong at what you do, keep it up!

Thanks guys,

I rack pulled 675lbs yesterday. I'll be back up to 700lbs before the end of the month i assume. Should be around 750 or so before the meet hopefully. If i can get a 610+ full deadlift i'll be happy.

I pressed 465lbs off a 2 board today. Im hope to press 500lbs clean at the next month.
Im setting my goals high for this one!!!

shit. i havent gone heavy in a while.. right now im playing around with Rest pause.

open with 335 for 12-15 reps.. then 365 for 10 drop to 315 followed by 405 for 6-10 drop to 315.
the drops are "rack the weight.. aaron and Trey yank off the plate and off we go again"

my chest felt like it was on fire after that

Benching is just getting boring to me now.
I have started to incorporate a lot of fly movements into my routine.

I did do a drop set yesterday as well.
Warm up with 85lb db's for 20 reps.
100lb db's for 15
120 db's for 10
Then work sets...
120lb dbs for 12, dropped to 90lb dbs for 10
120lb dbs for 10, dropped to 90lb dbs for 10
120lb dbs for 8, dropped to 90lb dbs for 10

I honestly haven't been under a 405lb bar in quite a while.
That is good weight, congrats keep it up.
Hopefully you are losing weight as you previously planned.

I'm down to about about 240lbs now!
No cardio either, lol.
