LOL, wrong kind of chicken.
2.6oz = 10 whole grams of protein, fried, along with 12 grams of carbs.
NO THANKS!

http://www.tyson.com/Recipes/Product...uct.aspx?id=81

I would choose this pre-cooked chicken over that ANY day, and is just as easy to fix(microwavable FTW!!!).

http://www.tyson.com/recipes/product...ct.aspx?id=114

3oz = 21 grams of protein, grilled, 1 gram of carb

Then again, there is a price difference, and eating healthy damn sure isn't cheap!

I don't even eat that chicken that I linked up...
I was just trying to show how those chicken patties shouldn't even be considered "good for you" or chicken in general.
You know...anything pre-cooked has to have preservatives in it.
For me...I stick to skinless trimmed plain chicken breasts, brown rice, and brocolli on a pretty much nightly basis.
I have no problems with high cholesterol and use salt on EVERYTHING!!!

No, the technical answer would be, they use around .5 grams of salt per 3oz of chicken(which in turn is a shytload!).

Those patty's you posted arent the ones im referring to, theyre in the "sleeve" type bags. Theyre about 250 cal and 10 g or so of protein. Ive been experimenting lately trying to find out what i can eat a lot of and still be affordable.

Tysons chicken tends to be a lot more expensive then the Wal-Mart brands etc.. However, their chicken is helluvalot better tasting.

You need to learn how to cook then.
Anything that is pre-cooked has a markup per lb.
I eat more than anyone you have ever met at one sitting, trust me...I know my food!
Whenever I sit down at a resturant, I usually eat an appetizer, two full meals, and a pitcher of water(at least a gallon).
I swear, I get crazy looks or a chuckle each time I sit down to eat,
but due to the price of eating out, I try to grill out at home as much as possible.
Sam's Club is my best friend.
Walmart has the best price per lb of beef jerky btw.

Why is there a stigma that baked or boiled chicken is better for you/more healthy than grilled chicken?

As long as you're not slathering it in some high sodium/high calorie marinade, it's all the same is it not?

Mike - Buy raw, boneless skinless ckn breast. Cooking isn't hard at all. I can teach you some easy recipes if you want.

Im not taking anything way from you as far as knowledge goes. Im simply stating im experimenting. Trying to figure out what works for me and what doesnt.

I normally do cook chicken breasts for dinner but i dont like cooking every night. If i can just throw something in the microwave and be done with it in a few minutes, id prefer that..

If i stuff my face all day with microwavable pattys and i get to my goals in the timeframe i want then i dont see a problem with eating the produced food.

Theyre also convenient for me because i dont want to cook chicken every night for the next days lunch or the entire week.

People claim raw foods are better for you...such as bodybuilders used to eat ground meat raw/or rare,
stating that cooking it removes minerals/nutrients and even protein.
I'm not a believer in this.

Then good luck to ya.
Like I said, I think more towards a long term goal vs. a short term goal.
You obviously have a very good metabolism(as you have stated you were bone skinny before you started working out).
Stuff your face, what works for one might not work for another.
Me, I have to diet very strictly due to the amount of food that I consume and my fatboy metabolism.

At least I benched more than what I weighed

I am at 245 no assistance now, after a little over 3 weeks, so that is pretty damn good. I have seen most gains in legs though. I can now rep 8 plates on each side on leg press, and 250 on seated calve. Also, I have gained 19 lbs so far. From 158 to 177,and still got a few days left, so will likely end up at around 178 or so, for a 20lb gain. My goal is to be at 180-185 >8%bf May later in life, but during this, have seen no negatives. No acne or "roid rage", depression etc.

Youre a freak! Hopefully ill get there one day. Say on a good note though, i did 70x10db on incline bench the other day. Pretty easy to, if i remember correctly. I should be able to do 80x8-9. Not bad considering when i started i could barely do 55x10!
