how'd you take it?

i usually stay around 11-14% depending on how much soccer/basketball i play during the week, and how much beer/junk food i consume at the lake on the weekend.

I don't think I'd ever take one. I try to maintain a good work-out routine, but I also like to eat what I want. The way I look at it is if I can't enjoy what I want to eat, then I'll just spend my life eating crappy foods and still end up with the same end product... death.

And yes, we have those guys in the gym who are bragging about 2-4% body fat also. They're the ones who have their definition hid behind their "couldn't be fat cells" and that little pudge that hangs abover their hips. I just don't see why someone would lie about things that are so meaningless. It take a lot of work and sacrifice to get where Greg is. I bet he finds it even funnier when people talk to him like that.

I do have a question for you, though. To start building up NAD cutting up, would it be easier to use your existing body fat to help build or would it be best to burn it all of and depend on the diet/supplements to aid your work?

Im not sure what you're asking, however i dont really believe in the whole bulking and cutting crap unless your a pro bodybuilder competing or something. That's for the juicey juice guys.
I always suggest a clean "bulk" for life. It just so happens that i dont have to eat so clean to stay around 12% at all times.

So you maintain the ~12% from just the work?

I think those are pretty good #'s Greg. You're in great shape and I knew you before you put on a lot of the weight. You've always been in pretty good shape, you've just turned it up a few notches. It's funny to see some folks talking about single digit body fat %'s, they obviously have never actually taken theirs or they listen to other people way too much.

BTW- I like the hat...pretty cool design.

That is probably perfect for you Greg. I am a bit taller than you I think and I have like 25% of your muscle mass, lol. I test on a hand held device. I have gone from 17.8% 4 months ago to 12.5% on Friday when I tested. I don't really want to go much lower on that. Just need to build more muscle

I don't think anyone on here would object to thier BF% if they looked like you did

3 years straight now.

However, i've been up and down. The pic wrestling NayNay above i was 185lbs, i got up to about 190 at the time then broke my big toe and fractured my wrist. I stopped working out for a year or so and lost 40lbs down to 150.
When i got hired at the fire dept around 3 years ago i started working out again and now im up to around 210 and this is the biggest i've been.

I do a lot of force feeding though. It's very hard to keep 200lbs on my frame naturally. I have to force feed a lot of food. I average around 5-6000 cals a day and not much of it is clean. haha

Other than that, yes i have an addiction to lifting weights.

Im in the same boat, with force feeding. I can honestly say eating is the least favorite thing of mine to do. How often do you eat? I havent had 6 meals in probably 2 weeks and i know its going to show. Im starting back up again today though.

i worked at a gym for about two months and it would piss off the trainers that i had 14% with a small gut and not working out. my job burns alot of calories though. i like to think of it as 10 hours of cardio/light weight training everyday.

i eat about 3-4k calories a day.

Yup, with my occupation I just simply do not have the time.
I eat about two normal sized meals, and then at night I eat my monster meal(probably around 7lbs of clean food, lol).
Not the best idea, but it works well for me.
I've lost 20+lbs of fatass off me in a few months with NO CARDIO whatsoever.

You seem to be a tad leaner than me and we are roughly the same stat wise I would assume.

I am 5'10.5'' and currently as of this morning 212 and with the hand held device my body fat was 13.4%.

About 3 months ago when I was just being REALLY lazy it was about 19% and I weighed around 198-200lbs.

Greg what are your measurements?

Hmm.. Ill have to try the three meals a day thing. Its hard for me to eat all day as im constantly on the phone but ill give it a shot. See what works best atleast.

My stomache cant hold that much food though to get the calories/protein i need. I normally have 2 chicken breasts sandwhichs, a serving of rice, maybe two, and a protein shake and this is barely 500 calories without protein shake. This is one of my larger meals and im about to blow after this. lol

Well, an average morning breakfast for me is 8 chocolate donuts or a #2 at Whataburger. The doublemeat with cheese meal and a DP. That's probably 1500 or more alone. haha
I eat a lot of Ice Cream over a day also. If i stopped working out i'd lose 30lbs in a month easy and that's what sucks.

I don't have a lot of body fat....I'm not quite down to Greg's BF level....but not a whole lot either. I would assume his legs are larger than mine.....but from his pics his arms look larger but we tape out the same.

Like i said before i have very small bone structure. I have dense muscle on little bones with decent vascularity.

I havent measured my arms lately but if yours are 18+ that's pretty big.

I eat a lot of Ice Cream over a day also. If i stopped working out i'd lose 30lbs in a month easy and that's what sucks.

How and the hell can you eat that dirty and not gain fat ? How much cardio do you do every week ? You are lucky as hell. You ever tried eating cleaner and cutting all that grease out ?

I got my BF measured by my nutritionist a few weeks ago at 5% (skin fold test). He calculated that I have about 9lb of fat and the rest is lean muscle which puts me at 168 of lean muscle and walking weight is around 175-78. Now we are working on tweaking my diet a little to try to drop the percent a bit lower. I'm having to learn about exchanging foods and maintain the proper balance of carbs, proteins and fats to maximize results which is a bit new to me, it's kind of like learning a new language. I eat 7 times a day and am supposed to consume about 3000 calories, however for the past few days, I feel that it's not enough as I feel hungry quite often, maybe I'm messing up the portion sizes or something, either way, this'll be a learning process for me and once we get it dialed in, I'll be able to take this knowledge with me wherever I go. We will be meeting up every 2 weeks to record results and tweak certain foods accordingly to find out what works and what doesn't. Hopefully I'll see some great results in the next 6 weeks.

Are you still looking to go to some sort of Special Forces route? I bet anything that you'll drop another percentage point or two through the military. LOL

At 5%, I wouldn't want to lose any more, though. It'll start getting unhealthy. Screw a buncha that noise.

As i've said a hundred times i have a very fast metab. I lose to much weight trying to eat clean and it's no fun anyway. I dont do any cardio, but i do have some intense workouts. I dont want my BF to get lower than 12%. I always injure myself below 12.

You have any pics of this 5%? I've never seen anyone that just walks around at 5% everyday. Only poeple that are on an EXTREME diet for contest. Are you dieting for a show?

There are marathoners that carry more than 5%. That's damn low. In high school, I carried 7% at 170lbs., and finally figured out I was over-training after going to the old Cowboy's training facility on Forest Lane. Back then, we didn't know much about nutrition, how much/often to lift, or even run. More was better. I was 6', 18" neck, 46" chest, 31" waist. The good ol' days...
