Time for a change

well i started dieting when everone did the 6 week think and failed. i just had to much going on...

several things changed last week.. and im making some changes..
no more heavy low rep sets.. everything now is 10-12 min.
i started Atkins on monday.. its the only diet that has had noticable results for me.. so we will see how it goes. I will be weighing myself once a week every sunday night.. im pretty sure it will be slow at first..
as of.
7/27 : 331lbs

Dave, as much as I loved the results at Atkins, it's just not going to give you long term results you are looking for.

But for the quick fix, it will

347.. Long term? low 200s..
SlowLX.. thanks homie. its going to be a long road.
Matt, im not looking for atkins to be a miracle.. but last time i did it in 6 weeks i dropped 32lbs. Once i get close to my target weight i can start focusing on a "long term balanced diet".. i know that i will be giving up some muscle at that low body weight.. but at my height if i can retain 90% of my muscle and lose fat.. i would look and feel 100x better then i do now.

Dave, you know what a huge advocate of Atkins I've been over the years. But it's a crutch. Always has been, always will be.

I've never felt better, since I've been really watching what I eat, changing the things I put in my body, food wise. Good protien, low fat options, 300-400 calorie meals, 5-6 times a day. Whole wheats, etc...

If I can do it Dave, I know you can too. Your doctor that put you on a 1500 calorie diet was an idiot!

Feldman....you know what drive it takes to be big and strong.....just apply the same drive to trimming up a bit and I'm sure you will be fine. Let us know how your progress is going and we'll keep you motivated. The log Matt kept on Lockout seemed to be a great way for him to track all that he was consuming and for others to keep him motivated while he slimmed down. Good luck buddy!!

just keep telling yourself you can do it. it is important to be positive all the time. i lost about 75lbs in about 1 year. it was hard but it can be done. i did mine with diet and running. but it was mostly diet. i kow i lost muscle, which is what im trying to gain back now(thanks Greg for the help). but also make sure all the people you surround yourself with is positive and willing to keep you motivated.
