Addison area trails

Just moved to Addison this week, and was wondering where some good places to ride a road bike and run might be.

Do you have Google Earth? You can turn on the "parks and recreation" feature to get an idea. It looks like there's a Dome Park close to Addison (b/w Midway and Marsh, south of Beltline). Probably more of a jogging trail. It doesn't look too long.

Or a little further away, Rawhide Park. Starts at Webb Chapel and Golfing Green dr. Looks to be pretty long. I'll measure it in a few min.

LMK if you want some screenshots.

good to place to ride a road bike in the evenings or weekends, is to go just a little north to Tennyson/Legacy/Windhaven. After work hours those roads don't get much traffic, and Windhaven has a good hill.
On Parker, just west of the Toll way, you also have Arbor Hills nature preserve, which has concrete trail and dirt trails to run and bike on. If you run on the dirt it's best to avoid the mt bike trail, to avoid close encounters of the bike/runner kind.

there is a trail that starts at hillcrest and 635 and goes to whiterock.
it's 7 miles to white rock i believe, 9 around the lake then 7 back.
car free.

i just moved to addison too. i'm thinking about doing a half ironman in a few months.

I rode that one, on Tue.. Trail is a little rough in spots, but its not to bad once you get to White Rock, but its nice because its only a mile from my house. Which half Iron man? I am planing on doing the Prairie man half.
