Question Best time to work out?

Just like the title says when is the best time to work out? i currently work the 3rd shift and get off at 12 midnight and was thinking of going straight to the gym around this time, would it benefit me at all? any advice would be helpful.

Thanks

It depends on your sleep schedule. I personally would go before work if I were to be working third shift. Exercise gets the blood pumping, and it would take forever to calm down enough to go to sleep.

You'll have more energy through the shift, too. I get off work around 11pm most of the time, but I go to bed straight away, and workout first thing in the morning.

well i am kinda leaning more towards going in the morning, as i am thinking it will be hard to go to sleep right after a work out.

Thanks

Along with being wired after a workout, another thing that can be "bad" about working out before going to bed is you may end up getting hungry and want to eat before you sleep. Working out in the morning will give your body the time it needs to burn off the calories you consume after a workout.
