cardio & diet
I'm a fatass and don't workout, but I do ride dirt bikes usually every weekend. Also, I walk/jog at least every other day. I can't seem to really lose any weight even with a diet change - no sodas, no fries, etc. I'm not too concerned about my weight because I'm within 5% no matter what I eat, no matter how much I exercise (240lbs).
My question: is it better to jog for 20-25 minutes at a 10min/mile pace or do a combo of walk/jog at 9min/mile pace for 30-35 minutes?
If you want to advise on my diet, here is a typical day for me:
breakfast - yogurt, water
before noon - another water
lunch - salad or sandwich from Subway or Quiznos (no cheese, no mayo) OR 2 tacos with rice from Baja Fresh, Chipolte, or the like - w/ water or tea
snack - unsweet iced tea (I count the ice as my snack)
dinner - small spinach leaf salad with fat free italian and whatever the wife cooks - typically something pretty healthy but not always
I can't eat more with smaller portions because I'm out in the field a lot so 3 meals a day is as good as I can do.
