How do you know what supplements to take?
All this fitness jazz is still new to me and I'm wondering where do you find out/read up on what supplements, protien, and "stuff" might help. Long story short, I've always been thin and athletic so I've never been on a fitness program. Stopped being competitive in my early 30's (20 years ago) when I blew out my knee. Lots of years of heavy smoking has led to chronic and severe emphasema. I quit smoking last August after nearly dying and started working out in November since I gained about 25#. Even now, I'm 6'1" and right at 180# so I'm trying to stay ahead of the fat/weight gain. I'm getting good tone from 3 months of a personal trainer but now that I'm in Vegas, the new job is a time-taker and I've only been able to get to the gym on weekends. I'm thinking I need some sort of meal replacement that is both filling and tasty so I don't start snacking without working out like I did in Dallas. Sorry for the long post, just wondering where everyone gets their info, education or knowledge. Thanks,
