Mental note: slow down when squatting heavy...

... failed @ 405 because I came down too fast, and my quads didn't recover. Thank God the safety bars were engaged!

I stepped back, mentally reset and did 405 x 3 after a brief rest... Mike sure got a neat show out of watching me pause and collapse, LOL!

Ouch, sucks to hear about the collapse Don, good thing you had the safety bars there. Glad to hear your alright.

That sucks, but it could have been worse. Last time I maxed out on the squats (about five years ago) I made a run at 505. As I went down, the tape on my right knee unraveled and I collapsed on to the safety bars. After that, I rewrapped my knees and popped out 505 four times. =)

I didnt know what to expect when seeing you collapse, then i looked over and saw that the safety bars were engaged, 'cause last time we didnt use'em. Safety bars, FTW. Chest & Tri's here we come.

I got 225x6, or was it 4?
