One thing I've learned about lifting...
Anytime you strain and try to get a heavier weight up...your body naturally takes the easiest way out due to exhaustion(or shortest distance to complete the movement).
That is exactly what you don't want.
For example on skull crushers:
Watch your elbows.
Keep them inward and keep the bar around eye level.
As you go heavier you will want to shoot out your elbows(such as mine did today at 175lbs).
It was far from what I would call a good clean lift.
I try to switch it up a bit...going heavy, with adequate form, and then some days I will concentrate on form solely and go lighter.
Honestly, in my opinion itís a trade off...form vs. weight.
You just have to find your happy medium and whatever works best for you, apply it.
As for the EZ bar, no, this was with the 45lb bar with a 45 and 2 10ís on each side.
I ended up doing 2 sets of 8 reps.
My tricep workout is pretty intense...I hit them for 1.5 hrs straight!
I prefer straight bars over easy bars any day, but I try to switch it up a bit as well.
BTW: Most EZ bars are 15lbs, not 25.
6 x 25 + EZ bar = 165lbs
