Navy SEAL push-ups FTW! Army, Marine, Air Force, and Coast Guard push-ups FTL!

They use the same push-ups as the Navy SEALs, but the SEALs do them with their eyes closed instead of open, like the regular Navy. It really adds another dimension to the art of pushing up if you're not sure how far your nose is from slamming into the floor.

I hear Navy Seals are only good for sucking dick under water.

I think stacking 4 or 5 45lb plates on your back would be a better push up!!

It's a pain in the ass trying to get them on there, and then, when I do, they always slide off.

Did you know you can do push-ups without buying anything?

I can feel a difference when using them but that's me. and can only do maybe 50-75% of what i could total of regular pushups. i dont lift weights much but do hindu pushups, hit the bag and pushups on the knuckles.

I have used those before. My dad bought a set and they fucking rock. Since I have a bad shoulder, regular pushups can hurt a bit, but those things make it no problem. A lot easier on the joints.

answer me this aobut skulls.
i can do 125 ( the EZ bar and 4x25s) all day long.. as SOON as i go to 6x25s( 3 each side) (175) i drop from 10-14 to 6-8 reps.. it just gets ALOT harder for only 50lbs.. do you get that too?

One thing I've learned about lifting...
Anytime you strain and try to get a heavier weight up...your body naturally takes the easiest way out due to exhaustion(or shortest distance to complete the movement).
That is exactly what you don't want.
For example on skull crushers:
Watch your elbows.
Keep them inward and keep the bar around eye level.
As you go heavier you will want to shoot out your elbows(such as mine did today at 175lbs).
It was far from what I would call a good clean lift.
I try to switch it up a bit...going heavy, with adequate form, and then some days I will concentrate on form solely and go lighter.
Honestly, in my opinion itís a trade off...form vs. weight.
You just have to find your happy medium and whatever works best for you, apply it.
As for the EZ bar, no, this was with the 45lb bar with a 45 and 2 10ís on each side.
I ended up doing 2 sets of 8 reps.
My tricep workout is pretty intense...I hit them for 1.5 hrs straight!

I prefer straight bars over easy bars any day, but I try to switch it up a bit as well.
BTW: Most EZ bars are 15lbs, not 25.
6 x 25 + EZ bar = 165lbs

our Ez bar is 25lbs ( i weighed it) i dont do the skulls to my forehead. i have to do them behind thehead because if i try to go to my forehead i over extend my elbows( my arms are just below 22" so i have lost some range of movement"..

Yea, now that I think about it...ours might be 25lbs as well.
I have a 15lb at the house and the one at the gym is bigger.
Honestly to me, weight is just a number, so I don't pay a whole lot of attention to how much weight that I do.
I base more upon how hard the weight is making me work.
If I'm not putting out 100% effort to get it up, time to go heavier.

I'm not understanding why you can't touch the bar to your forehead?
Over extending how?
Honestly, sometimes I lean up a couple inches to touch my forehead to the bar(once again another way the body naturally cheats itself).

when i bring the bar towards my head.. my upper arm is squashed against my lower arm before its at my forehead.. so if i had to force it to touch my forehead.. it would pop my elbows out of joint.. ask me how i know this

that 50 lbs is a 40% jump...that's a considerable amount. And I get the same thing when i jump 40% on any exercise

I have tried them, they are exactly like a normal push up but They have less strain on my wrists and shoulders.
