Man I'm outta shape!

I jogged up to the Rec Center in Allen from my house, played basketball for an hour and jogged back and I'm BEAT! I'm trying to ease into this "gettin' in shape" thing and did some bis/tris/shoulder work last night, so I figured I'd do a "light" leg workout by going up there tonight. My legs are already spaghetti! I ate a shit-ton today though (lots of protein!) so I felt like I needed to do something somewhat exerting so I don't just pack all this on my gut! The other reason I ran up there was to get a membership so I can start using their free-weights! My master plan is coming together! LOL!

lol. I played some football the other day and I was winded from running from one side of the field to the other.

Ive been eating a lot as well, around 2500 calories.

I wish my problem was forcing myself to eat more - I am f'in starving most of the time! lol Eating right is so hard for me... I always want to cheat. I struggle with self discipline.

Good job on your workout! I'm about to head to the gym.

Well, it's kind of a double-edged sword though. In the past, when I've started to eat enough to put on some size, I also didn't WORK hard enough to put it in the right place. (i.e. it would just go to my gut). For my build, it IS possible to be thin, but fat at the same time. Skinny with a potbelly is NOT attractive! lol. SO, in addition to eating more/better, I have to make sure I do the WORK as well....

Yup I am doing the same, man getting in shape sucks, lol. I am taking in 5-6 meals a day with most of it being protein, and I am working out five days a week, one muscle group a day. I am going to do cardio, probably running, on sat. and sun.

x2.. I have had full stomache nonstop for the past 1.5 week. It sucks in a way but its paying off as I already gained some weight/muscle.

I listed myself at 165 for the contest, however the reality was more like 161 by the time I got started. I wasn't sure how many excess calories I would need to help me put on some mass. I figured I need around 1700-1800 just to stay where I was. My ultimate goal would be to be around 180-185 w/ it all in the right place. For the contest, I'd be pretty happy to get to 175 and most of the gain be upper body (chest and arms) w/o a big ole pot belly.

When I was growing up I remember when they finally opened that rec center. Is this the one off of Allen Heights and Bethany? I lived in the subdivision right next to it.

Cool that was my old neighborhood. Depending on how far NE you are. Walking there took a matter of minutes and that is if we stopped to tie our shoes. I can still remember eating dominos pizza in front of the jazzercize and going in there to say that our pizza was ready. Karma has come back to haunt me. Now I'm the fatty with manboobs.
