Do you watch what you eat when you go out?

The girlfriend and I were talking about how much we go out to eat and we decided to look up nutritional facts... have you guys ever done this?

My girlfriend likes the Bacon burger from Chilis:
Calories: 1110
Fat: 71g
Saturated Fat: 22g
Carbs: 60g

Those figures are WITHOUT the fries. My girlfriend is diabetic so watching her carbs is important. Thats twice the carbs she was calculating for.

I like the Chicken Caesar Salad:
Calories: 1010
Fat: 76g
Saturated Fat: 13g
Carbs: 39g

A fucking salad with over 1000 calories. I dont even like it that much, I just eat it cause everything else sucks.

Chicken Crispers:
Calories: 1880
Fat: 130g
Saturated Fat: 23g
Carbs: 130g

Thats without the fries... Absolutely disgusting.

Anyways, do you guys pay attention to this? We decided we wont be eating there anymore. We are cooking at home a lot more since we joined the gym.

If you guys want to check out other restaurants, www.calorielab.com is a great place to find out stuff like that.

Chilli's is one of the worst restaurants to go eat at, everything there has an insane amount of fat and calories. Most of that stuff I can make at home, that will taste better and have way less fat. and calories.

I rarely eat out anymore; I looked at the nutritional facts when I was in Wendy's about 2 months ago and it freaked me out.

I've been watching what I eat lately and doing some serious portion control, and I find myself way less hungry and I feel a lot better too. That and I try to drink mostly water now. It's amazing what eating healthy can do for you and for your wallet.

I watch the amount when I eat out (which is almost all the time). I've gotten used to smaller portions. Chili's will let you order off the kids menu. You can get the kids burger and have them fix it up like the regular Mushroom and Swiss burger. After a while, you don't feel empty or hungry after a kid's burger.

I work out and eat right most of the time so that I can eat and drink stuff that's terrible for me when I do go out. Life would be no fun without vices.

I always try & order salman or some type of fish when I go out. I go heavy on my carbs in the morning & mid afternoon & then heavy on my protein towards the end of the day & night.

Make sure and ask how they prep that fish man. Most places will soak it in butter and bake it. You'd almost be better off the a burger at that point.

Yep. If I dont know how many cals are in something, ill order grilled (specifiy as little butter as possible when cooked) chicken/fish and a salad with light dressing on the side and grilled or steamed (again with the butter comment) veggies. If I dont know what is in something, I probably won't eat it. Then again, I am a bitch.

I eat anything I want and maintain 10-12% BF depending on the season, but that is the miracle of CrossFit.

LOL, right now I am eating my ass off, easily 2,800-3,200 calories a day... I've gained 8 pounds in 6 weeks, and still wear the same jeans and belt hole... guess where a good portion of that weight is going

Hammering the gym > "metabolism" and being weak!

I started the Keto diet so I just make sure to stay away from any carbs when I go out to eat. Fat intake is encouraged in this diet.
