How the fuck do you do it? I've been forced to stick with this low impact shit because of my foot, how the fuck are you going to be in motion for 30 minutes to an hour and not go anywhere?

Lifecycler here. 45 minutes a day @ 80% MHR. Read a book, do Sudoku, crosswords, etc. Over the last 12 years, I've read a lot of books.

MOVIES...tons and tons of movies. I watch 45 min at a time. Keeps me entertained and my mind off the fact that I run nowhere....of course, I have fallen off the treadmill! shhhhhhh!

Right now, I'm doing the P90X in the mornings and going to start back running in the afternoons for 20/30 min cuz I want to see if I can do it.

I dunno, I hate it because I'm staring at a wall or I constantly watch the time go so it goes so slow but I manage.

More power to you indoor runners. I can't do it. I run on a treadmill and feel awkward...I go back to track/trail running and certain muscles in my lower legs end up being sore since they arent used when I run on the treadmill....Pkus I go out of my mind with boredom. Kudos to you you all! Only stairmaster or elliptical for me....

depending on how much you are running each time, i usually recommend tv series. you can get the box set with 4-5 shows on each dvd. you can watch one per session, or watch all 5 per session depending on what you are training for.

i had a client that would watch about 5 shows per run. said it took her mind completely off running indoors.

My favorite gym has tvs on all the equipment so either watch tv, people watch out the window, text on my phone or Ipod. I have to chew gum so I don't start singing along when I listen to my Ipod though.

You want some good cardio, get a heavy bag and some bag gloves and go at it, and alternate with that and jumping rope.

Guaranteed to kick your butt if you don't wuss out and go easy!

I-pod. Typically I listen to Tool or something like that on the treadmill. Long songs that you know the lyrics to so the time goes by fast. Also getting behind a hot chick helps.

EDIT: Getting in front of hot chicks works for me to. I don't want to look like a wuss and get off the treadmill before even breaking a sweat like I see so many resolutionists do.
