Question Started to workout again...

I've started running again since I've gained about 40 pounds that I need to lose. I've also ordered a total gym so I can work out some at home. I'm thinking running will give me the cardio work out I need and I'll use the total gym to help build some muscle. I however think that using some sort of supplements would help me lose weight faster and build muscle at the same time. What do you guys think of hydroxycut? Anybody have some recommendations on other suplements I could take to help my progress?

Miguel

Edit:Those who have taken it, did you have any side effects?

It wasn't lack of exercise that packed on that 40lbs, it was your crappy diet. Get that cleaned up before concerning yourself with supplementation, or you will be pissing your money away.

I take hydroxy every now and then for the energy...but that's only once every couple of days. I've heard alot of people say it screws them up if they take it as explained on the bottle.

Not so much...it was just my bad eating habits..I'd leave clubs/bars at 2 in the morning and go straight to deny's or ihop cause I'd be hungry as fuck. Too much drinking. But mostly eating late is what made the put on the pounds..

I have taken several different "fat burners" before and I can honestly tell you that I lost more BF when not taking them and just eating healthy. The original hydroxycut had ephedra in it, which will help you lose weight, but is a serious risk to your heart. The new "fat burners" will cut your water weight more than anything, making you more prone to dehydration and injury. If you are running, lifting and eating healthy you will lose that weight, just remember it won't be in 2 weeks. Losing too much weight too fast isn't healthy.

If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that!

What you descibed IS a crappy diet, and it's what you eat, not when. My last meal of the day each night is right before my head hits the pillow.

That attitude will keep you fat. You have every control over what, when, and how much you eat.

.

I once lost 50 lbs in two months.

Exercise and a good diet, I am about to get back on it as well. I would take Thermoburst 30 minutes before my run, it raises your body temperature so u can sweat more while working out or running. It did make me feel jumpy when I first started taking it, other than that it worked great. GNC...

You people are really missing the point here. Supps ARE NOT needed to lose weight. Like said above, if you're eating like shit then you'll just be pissing away money. Burn more calories than you intake and you'll lose. It's scientific fact. If you drink 3 cokes a day and have biscuits and gravy every morning, replace it with 3 glasses of water and oatmeal and I guarantee you will see results. It's not hard, just takes self discipline. If you want to expedite the process a little, add in a bit of cardio. It doesn't take much to see results.
