Unhappy Destroyed my legs Monday...

I haven't had a good leg workout in probably 3 years because my knees would always hurt when I squat. They have been feeling a lot better lately so I decided to have a good leg day. Well, I'm beyond sore today. I'm having a hard time getting up and down the stairs at work. Pretty bad DOMS... My knees feel good though.

I only did 135 x 15, 225 X 10, 315 X 6, and then another set with 135. I probably should have stopped there but I went ahead and did a few sets on the leg press, then some leg curls and extensions. I don't think my legs have ever been this sore; it feels good though and I'm ready to do some more next week!!

If you have bad knees, be careful with extensions.

315X6 on squat? If you havent worked legs in 3 years and did that what did you expect?

Yeah, legs are beginning to be my favorite workout.

I don't know what I was thinking. I started out light and told myself I would take it easy but once I got started it was hard to stop.

I feel good today, ready for some more.

Just a question, kinda off subject but, I havent done any squats in a long time, but I do leg press 1 time a week with my leg day, how does this stack up against squats?? For instance if I did 550ish leg press what would that be squating? I know presses are easier..

550 leg press.... hmmm maybe 225 squat.

I leg press around 1200 and squat 465 if you can relate that.

Squat and deadlift are the BEST workouts in the gym and hardly anyone ever does them.

That is why i said maybe. Everyone is different.

Shit, I do my leg press reps @ 545 x 20 feet together, feet shoulder width, feet apart... i have no idea what my max on a press is. I can go 275 x 8 tailing a set of 245 x 10 on squats currently.... again no idea on max.

dead lifts and shoulders are my favorite things to do currently.

Yes sir, those use to be my fav. Now it's dead lifts and legs.

I put up a 485lbs squat yesterday. I felt i could have got 500 but i'll save that for next time. I havent maxed squat since the meet but i've been working legs hard.

I'd like to think that, all pumped up and loose, I could push 365 right now. Rendy thinks I could max just south of 400, but I have no idea... I'll just shoot low and hope I used to LOVE squats in high school, but with a regimented program I have learned there's all sorts of ways to torment your muscles into growing
