I decided a couple of years back that I wasn't going to lift more than 405. The odds of me ever hitting 495 are slim, so I'd rather spare my joints and rep 405. Of course as much as I have hit the gym in the past 9 months that won't be an issue.
Ironically I'm not even sore, nor was I yesterday. My chest seems to respond to higher reps better, and it's my legs that love the low rep sets. That 9am start time is gonna take some adjusting, but it was nice to have the rest of the day to get shit done.
