CARDIO Question

Got a question for you cardio folks. My girl recently started working out again, and she was wondering if she does cardio at 6:00 am......... then she works out in the evening and does cardio again, is there such a thing as to much cardio? Are there any benefits to doing cardio twice a day? Shes just wanting to lose some weight and firm back up.

Never enough cardio. I do about 15-20 hours per week (with an occasional 25-30 hours thrown in there as well). Okay... I do it for other reasons.

You can overtrain and twice a day cardio probably isn't good for someone beginning or getting back into the fold. Having said that if the intensity is low it probably won't physical hurt her but she would be more suspect to burn out.

The signs of overtraining:

General feeling of tiredness, mild leg soreness that persists day to day
pain in the joints that won't go away
headaches
reduced immunity to colds
depression, moodiness
lack of appetite
injuries

My 401K is now a 400K (was 301K)

Really.... I had no idea that my headache could be from too much working out! I better stop! hehehehe J/K But it's funny that I have a lot of those symptoms...

headaches
reduced immunity to colds
lack of appetite
injuries - (my right ankle constantly hurts)

Interesting.....very interesting....but I won't stop running and working out.
