Just got back from my first powerlifting meet, so here it goes....
Squat-my weak event.
Opened with 150k/330.7lb to get use to everything.
I was worried about going down far enough so everyone told me to start light and go down extra to make sure i get a good one. So i go down really far and I loose my balance. haha No lift.
2nd attempt 172.5k/380.3lb, Lifted it very easy, good lift.
3rd attempt 207.5k/457.5lb, Lifted it easy however the judges said my knees were not locked when i first started. I didnt know that was rule but still my fault.
Depth was good finish was good.
Bench - opened with 150k/330.7lb, pushed it easy.
2nd attempt 172.5k/380.3lb, pushed it easy. (video below)
3rd attempt 187.5k/413.4lb for the firefighter state record: slammed into it, stuck half way then pushed it out. No lift, bar slightly dropped halfway. Damn!!
So squat and bench a little upsetting, deadlift is my favorite event though.
My personal record for deadlift is 500 at this point.

2nd attempt 232.5k/512.6lb, Lifted with ease (PR
3rd attempt they said 255k/562.2lb
would be the firefighter state record so i said what the hell lets do it. I somehow pulled it!! (PR
Then got home looked it up and record is 575lbs.
So total of...
198lb class Gold Medal
I weighed in at 189 this morning before the meet. lol
I wish my squat and bench 3rd's would have counted for a much better total but it was my first time and i had a lot of fun! Learned alot and i'll do much better next time!!
