Gatorade?

I work in an open shop so its gonna get hot this summer and Ill sweat a lot. They always make gatorade in a cooler. My question is if gatorade is bad for you? I know water would be better but I like gatorade more often than water. So should I pass up the gatorade and opt for water or is gatorade not that bad?

I would go for the water. Vitamin water is pretty good but i dont know if it really does anything for you.

gatorade has sugars in it that make it take a little longer to get you hydrated. i would drink water at the house before work to get some liquid in your system. the electrolytes (sp?) in the gatorade will be good in the heat.

i personally fill up a bottle with half gatorade half water once im in the middle of something just because i dont like the flavor.

Not really counting them. Iv been working out for the last 4 weeks and have been eating healthy 6 days a week for the last 5 moths. By healthy I mean 32protein per meal, carbs in the morning, veggies at night, no fried foods,no sugary snacks,no trans fat, and eating every 3 hours. I just dont want to be sucking down gatorade and find out its hurting me loosing weight and gaining muscle. Iv lost 20 pounds so far and want to loose another 20.

Iv got water fountains next to my bay so its not hard to drink plenty of water. I just prefer gatorade cause I like the taste better. I really like the propel's but Im gonna spend that much on them cause I would drink 4 of them a day.
Im thinking about mixing it up. Drinking one squirt bottle of gatorade then one of water. What kind fo sugar do they put in gatorade?

It's a shit load of sugar, so just for rehydrating because you're hot...it's not that great. Plus, at that level of sweating/exertion...you really don't need the extra sodium/potassium ions. It's not too terribly bad for you as long as you aren't going crazy on the sodium in other categories. But in that area, it's about as bad as a Coke.

They put sucrose, glucose, and fructose syrup in Gatorade.

if you're sweating all day you need the sodium for rehydration
