Got a layer of fat there?

My favorite core exercise is what I call supermen.

Get up on your elbows and toes and hold your back completely straight. Start with sets of 60 seconds and build up to two minutes. I always feel them in the lower abs before my upper abs.

I usually do these during commercial breaks on the television.

My 401K is now a 400K (was 301K)

six packs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.

before and after working them out do a cat strech
get in a push up position and keep your toes pointed down and lock out your arms and try to touch your head to your butt

Try crunching, and leg lifting at the same time. I know 3 or 4 different lower ab exercises, but I don't know the technical names.

do you need work on your obliques?? i.e. love handles etc. I work at UNT rec and have done a couple of excercises using the big core balls lifting one arm at a time and twisting your torso like you are reaching for something. For example twist your torso to the left and lift your right arm in the air like you are reaching for something above your left shoulder. Leg lifts are supposed to be pretty effective if doing them right. Get on a flat bench, lie on your back and let your heels go all the way to the floor and pick them up while keeping them straight and go as high as you can while crunching your abs. See if that works....DO NOT stop when you feel a little burn...the burn means its working and without it you will see no results. BTW this info I am getting is from personal trainers here at the rec. So far it seems to be working for me.

maybe because you dont know how to explain it.

I wouldnt really call that a push up position. I would call that more of a prone position on the floor. Then push your upper body upward by flexing your lower back. You could even call that a type of a prone cobra stretch ( which comes from the cobra in yoga ). I guess that would be too much of an explination though...
