Any of yall run with your dog?

I havent been able to run in 6 weeks cause of surgery. Im gonna be cleared Wed(hopefully) and gonna start running again. My Doberman is old enough to start running with me and actually keep up/outlast me. Anyone else run with their dog?

When I had one I did. . That dog got me in shape. when I would start to slow down she would pull the crap out of me. So I had to run at her pace the whole time. Dog is gone now I've put on 25#'s

My wife runs with our crazy Lab 3 miles every morning. It has pulled or knocked her down a few times and left some ugly scrapes...but my wife is a weakling.

I run and bike on trails with my one of my dogs. The other one doesn't show much interest.

My 401K is now a 400K (was 301K)

Does he heal when you walk? If not youre gonna have to get him to heal first. If he/she does heal than carry a water bottle and spray them on the face when they start to run in front of you. Either that or get a shock collar. My doberman would jump up on the back door and know my glass out. Couple of zaps and he doesnt do it anymore

Good Lord... shock collars aren't the answer for everything. Especially most labs that just need some good training.

I use to run with my dog, but she's got lung problems and can't handle it. She knows how to heel, but I also have a retractable leash so she can wander off a little and not effect me.

My dogs are too young, but I plan on it. They couldn't keep up with me as is. Plus, they are only modestly trained in walking.

I have shocked him for jumping up on the back door but I was making a bad joke about shocking them while running
