How often do you drink a protein shake?

I always thought it was near impossible to get the amount of protein I need with food so I drank protein shakes 4-5 times a day. I went to the grocery store and started looking at canned tuna/salmon/chicken/sardines. With a can of those and some wheat tortillas its alot easier than I though. Iv been saving my shakes for after workouts and before bed. Glad too cause those things tastes like crap.What about yall?

Tuna and hot sauce in a tortilla is awesome. For some reason my stomach can not handle protein shakes so i dont drink them. If i do i throw up..

Eggs have 6 grams each. Fish, chicken and lean beef/turkey is loaded. I am eating 1,500 cal. of food a day and getting 200 grams of protein. All unprocessed food which is like eating 5,000 cal of junk food. It is nice to shit every other day.

I used to drink 1 a day, then started drinking 2, after a while the taste really started getting to me. My diet has slacked off as well, and I'm only drinking 0 a day ;p I'm trying to pick good habits back up, so I should start again soon, about to have one now.

first meal and last meal of my day is 40g's of 100% whey, in the morning i pair it up with some oatmeal, at night its by itself.

if you buy vanilla protein shakes, you can buy the sugar free/fat free jello pudding mix (flavor of your choice) and flavor your protein shakes to whatever you want at the time (vanilla is the easiest to "out flavor", chocloate seems to taste the same no matter what), then add some splenda and they can start tasting really good.

I have one first thing in the morning mixd with oatmeal, one right before bed, and a Muscle Milk post workout. I was dead set against the muscle milk on a diet, but I did a little reading, and it's made with "good" fat. Tastes like a desert too.

Muscle Milk all the way here! I keep trying others but it seems like every other one out there sucks! Muscle Milk with water is good, but with skim milk is awesome.

5, sometimes 6 a day..... Oatmeal and a shake for Breakfast, Mid-Morning I have a shake, Lunch sometimes I have oatmeal and a shake or I'll eat out somewhere decent ot have leftovers from the night before if available, a shake mid-afternoon, a shake after workout in the evening, supper later, and if I am feeling it I'll have one more before bed.

I do thee a day, One a couple hours after breakfast, the second right after my work out and the third some time between dinner and bed. Only been doing it for a month now, but am starting to see some results.

i have slacked off WAY TO MUCH!

I usually do bout 3 a day and never stop eating... always some sort of protein.. I am trying to clean up my diet as much as i can right now...

I grow just fine on about 250 grams per day. All that extra protein is just getting filtered through your kidneys, and pissed out. Granted, if you were to take anabolics you would need a little more to facilitate the extra growth.

Every other day? I shit like 3-4 times a day minimum!


And as far as protein shake consumption...I only have 1-2 a day. Usually 2 scoops (50 grams of protein). And then I try and consume about 100 grams a day with real food. I dont believe in straining to matching my body weight in grams of protein on a daily basis (sometimes it happens unintentionally). It's too hard on the kidneys and most of it will be pissed out.

i used to drink 1 after workout and 1 before bed. Post hernia surgery i havent really gotten back into it as much, now i drink liquid protein in little vials 42 grams in 3.5 ounces and taste pretty good. split that up 1 half after lunch 1 after workout.
