"Looking thinner" won't help for spring break, being that you won't be wearing many clothes. Cutting water weight will definitely enhance the vascularity of an already lean body, but if you've got a decent amount of bodyfat it's a waste of time, ad borderline dangerous. My guess is that you'll be drinking a bit of alcohol, for which you need to be well hydrated. What you need to do is cut all simple carbs and saturated fat, count your calories, and get at least 30 minutes of cardio 4-5 days per week. Doing this will naturally purge some water weight, but you'll also be burning fat. You won't "look" leaner, you will be leaner.
