Can the energy drink "Monster" mess you up?

I've been drinking this shit religiously. I can't even remember that last time I drank fucking water. Does anyone know what can happen if I keep drinking this shit?

Take it easy on the energy drinks. They aren't good for your liver. Also, when mixed with alcohol as a cocktail, they have been known to induce heart attacks. Another reason you aren't supposed to mix uppers with downers.

Rediculous measures of caffeine are no good for the cardiovascular system.

yes stop drinking them, energy drinks are not good for your body. The only time i drink them is at mid terms and finals week, even then i usually stick to coffee.

Learn to love the water.

Any of those drinks in excess are just like anything else in excess.

Also, the thing is loaded with sugar and about 160mg of caffeine per 16oz can. You will be doing peaks and valleys all day long. After awhile you will be able to sip that shit all day and still feel like you have no energy.

That's when I had to stop drinking them. They weren't doing anything for me after I built up a tolerance.

Now I mix them with vodka, occasionally. not too often though.

monsters

I drank that shit all summer long, bought a case of 24 and went through it like no ones business, after a while it didn't do anything for me so I stopped. Water is the way to go, kind of hard to get started but you'll learn to love it. I drink a monter every now and again when I"m dragging nalgas.

Funny you say this, because even too much water can kill you. Water should definitely be the number one source of hydration, but all other forms can be tolerated in moderation. One a day is too many though.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say in equal quantities Monster will kill you prior to water will.

Actually, I recently read an article saying that either redbull or monster is good for your liver the day after a night of drinking. That it helps it to recover and regenerate. I can't find it though.

Here's a different article on Taurine.

http://www.medserv.dk/modules.php?na...rticle&sid=407
Red Bull contains caffeine, taurine and glucuronolactone.
She writes: "Glucuronolactone is produced in the human liver and helps
detox the body while one's metabolism is raised by the accompanying B
vitamins and taurine. "

In summary, one Red Bull a day is unlikely to do much harm unless you
are particularly sensitive to caffeine. More than that and you should
look at your overall caffeine consumption. Keep in mind not a lot is
known yet about long term effects of Taurine as a supplement. It's
probably not wise to combine Red Bull with alcohol, or to rely on it
to re-hydrate you during or after exercise
