Working out while watching tv...

Does working out while watching tv make me productive, or should it bring me to the realization that i need to get in shape and stop watching tv?

Hell, if you are doing cardio, I don't blame you. Can be mindnumbingly boring.

I watch tv everyday while I do the elliptical. Sometimes I mute the tv and blast the itunes.

When I do cardio I watch TV but listen to my iPod to keep my brain occupied.

If the weather sucks and I have to bring the bike in for a long session (2-4 hours) I will always watch TV. Typically the long ride is on the weekend so there are plenty of sports to watch.

If it is during one of my interval sessions (1 hour) I pop in my Chris Carmicheal Intervals DVD and play along with that.

My 401K is now a 400K (was 301K)

Duiring indoor cardio it's a necessity, but not while lifting. It's hilarious watching thises guys try to lift and keep walking over to the cardio room to catch a glimpse of whatever game is on. If the score is that damn important, stay home and watch. The lack of focus will get you no where in the gym.
