Two Adays

what do you guys think about two adays...I work out in the morning most of the time...but alot of the times late at night I get the urge to work out again ..I know rest and recovery time is very important ... should I hit the same muscle group on the same day if I am going to do two workouts in one day or should I hit a different one
what do you think ?

The only two-a-days I would do would be cardio in the morning and resistance training in the evenings, or vice versa...the muscles need to rest longer than several hours...

Depends on what you are going for. Are you just trying to "get in shape" or are you trying to win your age group in a triathlon?

That is exactly the way that I used to do it with great results.

I do two adays. I do one muscle around 12 and one muscle around 7 for around 1 1/2 hours. Many say i overtrain, but i have great results.

I'd be worried about overtraining each muscle group if you don't allow at least a couple of days recovery for each one. You are tearing down muscle that has not had a chance to rebuild itself yet. At most I could see doing this one week out of maybe a month of several months of regular training to really tear yourself down, but I would also want to almost stop working out for a week afterward if I did that to fully recover from it.

Just my opinion and from what I have learned about lifting - there are lots of different ways to get the same results, some get you there faster and some slower, some may not get you there at all, but for the most part if you are doing something, you are making some sort of progress.

If you work out 2 major muscles a day then you will have 2 or more days for each to recover.

I used to do two-a-days a little after I was out of highschool, but I was lifting very light weights. I cut up pretty well, but was pretty skinny.
