Who Else is Starting a New Diet?

I started my cut diet today, starting to lean down for the summer. Here it is if anyone wants to critique.

My BMR is 1812 calories and my Total Daily Energy Expenditure is 2808 calories. So by reducing my diet approx 700 calories daily I should drop 1-2 lbs per week. I lift weights 4 days a week and do cardio five days a week for a minimum 45 minutes. I am trying to get back into shape after my motorcycle wreck, two months out of the gym and poor eating.

I intend on being extremely strict on this diet for three months. I think I may need to add a little more fat, will probably do so with a few almonds at each meal.

I start my diet today, but I don't want to consider it a diet when its just eating healthier. My job pays for their employees to have gym memberships wherever they want. So, I'll start working out tomorrow.. YAY!

I'm just going for the high protein, veggies, whole grain foods, ect, in 5 smaller meals a day.

Good luck on your new diet!! I hope you see results soon!

Sounds like a plan.

I started my 2007 trim down the day after Christmas, no sense in waiting half a week, just because it's "New Year's". I made it through last night without any alcohol, 'cept for a sip of Champagne, so this year is off to a good start. Time to get ready for the lake.

Yea I got drunk last night and haven't work out in over a month. I'm going to go eat a cheeseburger and some fries in a couple hours..... top it off with a coke.

I have actually not been in the gym b/c of a little injury I sustained to my back. I got my cut diet written up and ready to go.... 12 weeks shouldn't be too bad.

Yeah I know that's kinda high, but I'm really trying to limit my carb intake, especially after lunch.

Yep and it does suck, takes a lot of discipline. I'm thirty and don't have the fastest metabolism. If I stick to the diet for 3 months or so I will have my six pack and can gradually add some more carbs, dairy, fruits, etc. It's painful for sure. 10 years ago I could eat whatever I wanted and stay cut, not anymore though.

I've also got a fairly slow metabolism, and sticking to a specific diet is the only way I know exactly how many calories I am eating. If not, I blow up, like the 20 lbs I packed on since August.

I never have been able to make a set list of foods. I just have a broad enough knowledge of the food thats out there to properly base my eating decisions on. I've slowly been cutting down again...and haven't really done too much aditional cardio. Its mostly just eating much better.

Actually, if you make a rotating menu of everything you're going to eat every day for a week, you're less likely to get bored and....you're shopping list is always made!!!
