Bodybugg by 24 hour fitness and APEX....

Anyone heard about these things? I got the insight, and it is a pretty bad ass little piece of work.

You wear it on your arm throughout the day, and its about the size of an ipod nano. It tracks how many calories you are burning, as long as you have it on. When compared to a metabolic chamber, it achieved a 92% accuracy rate.

Multiple times a day you can download the information to the internet through a USB cable, or infared. Then update what you have consumed to see if you need to add more calories, or burn more calories to gain or lose weight.

It detects calorie burn through 4 major components. 1. accelerometer 2. heat flux 3. galvanic skin response. 4. skin temp.

Currently you have to download the information to know how many calories you burned throughout the day, but they will soon be releasing a watch to add to the bodybugg that will give you up to the minute information.

Pretty cool little gadget that could help a lot of people gain or lose weight. Currently they are only available to 24 hour fitness employees, but they should be on the market within the next month. I think I am about to get one, because everyone that has been using it has said its very beneficial.

Since I got certified to use it, I get a pretty decent discount.

The cost for consumers is going to be $399. I am sure there are some ways around that though.
