They've got a decent amount of protein, and are low-fat too. Too expensive to make a habit of them though.

I picked up the oatmeal and chocolate chip Saturday because I was gonna be out of the house al day, and they were damn good IMO. Then again, anything that doesn't taste like a plain chicken breast is good to me right about now.

I've learned to stick with anything 100 calories or less for my afternoon snack. Light yogurt, granola bar, Nabisco 100 calorie snack packs, Fat Free pudding, etc. You can always mix some protein powder in the yogurt and pudding.

My snacks are about 340 calories apiece, and I eat 6 of them per day.

I'm still in the fat burning phase. Ten more pounds to go. I'm down 25 so far.

Me too, that equates to just over 2000 calories per day. Frequent meals apply to ANY healthy and succesful diet, burning or bulking. It's how your body most efficiently processes food/fuel. Congrats on the progress.

Thanks man. I'm eat five meals a day, one of them being a protein shake. I'm only taking in around 1300 calories a day though. It's worth it though. After last year, I really let myself go. It was time for a change.

You're pretty tall right? 1300 calories is awfully low for anyone of a decent size. You may be going a little too sever, which will slow your metabolism and losses. Try adding another shake and a whole wheat turkey sandwich or somethig of that nature.

I'm 5'10". I was 210lbs. four months ago, now I'm at 184. I've switched from GNC protein to Dymatize, which has half the calories of the GNC, so I'll be adding another shake to the regimen. I've been so apprehensive towards what I've been eating regarding calories, fat, carbs, cholesterol, sodium, sugar, etc.

I've easily got another 10lbs of fat to lose. Do you think I'm over doing it?

I thought you were a bit "bigger" than that, but 1300 calories is still a tad low, especially if your doing cardio. Shoot for 1500-1800 calories, keep up the cardio, and be patient. Once that last 10 comes off your diet can't change much, or it'll pack rigt back on. You can eat a little more post diet, but it's gotta stay clean. This is why fad/quickie diets fail 99% of the time, people are in such a hurry to reach a goal, that they don't prepare mentally for maintenance. They think they can "diet for X amount of time and be "done". Dieting isn't a temporary thing, it is a life-long consideration.

That's exactly what I had to convince myself. I'm not getting any younger and I wasn't happy with what I had let my body become.

Too many people view a diet as a temporary thing, but every morsel put into your mouth has to be accounted for, whether you are trying to lose weight or not. Trust me, I've spent the last decade trying to convince myself that there aren't eny valid excuses for putting crap in my body. KitKats, Taco Bueno, and Jack Daniels sure do put up good fight.
