To clarify, bars are not the best source of daily protein, but there are a couple decent bars out there that can be used when a ready-to-eat source of protein is needed. You should be getting the majority of your protein from natural sources like fish, chicken, turkey, pork, and lean red meat. Egg whites very quickly assimilated, but they are a PITA to separate out IMO.
