Little guidance advice.....

I started out 11-12 weeks ago at 230-234 pounds, I cut my junk food intake completely off and eat chicken all the damn time. I dropped down to a total of 198-99 pounds from the start date. I have been to the gym just about every night for the last 2 weeks for 45-60 minuts at a time doing no cardio(sp) just mainly weight lifting.

I am currently at 212, I obviously dont have a gut no more and I can still tell I am dropping the fat, can I be putting muscle tone back on that fast? I havnt worked out like this since I was a jr. in highschool so its been about 8 years for my body to do this.

I eat a protein bar every day and take no kind of suplements.

Who wants to race?

Being that you just started training again just a few months ago, and you've cleaned up your diet tremendously, your muscles are gonna grow fairly quickly. You'll eventually hit a plateu, but enjoy the quick gains while they last.

I think I hit my plateu on my diet when I dropped down to 198, I sat there for about 10 days and it leveled out there. I'm a little over 6ft tall and I think 220 is a decent goal set in my mind. I just want to be alot more toned!

Who wants to race?

Protein bars aren't shit. Most have like 15g's of protein or something. A few have 30g's. If you're really eating a shitload of chicken, those bars aren't really gonna help you. Save the money for beer or a hooker or something.

6' and 220lbs is a tad more than "toned" unless you keep a bit of bodyfat. Arnold won the Olympia at around 230lbs at 6'2". Your goal is somewhat realistic, just don't expect to be there any time soon.

I agree on the chicken, but there are also decent bars out there. When I need then, I buy the Pro 42 with 42 grams of protein, and a decently low fat content.

protein bars arent' shit, but real protein is 10 times better than the crap protein in there

Yeah I kinda notice I fart alot after having the bars. I'll be lifting and shit'in away after I get through, my wife swears it's normal for me to do that but I disagree!

I dont excpect to get there no time soon, but then again its just a a goal!

To clarify, bars are not the best source of daily protein, but there are a couple decent bars out there that can be used when a ready-to-eat source of protein is needed. You should be getting the majority of your protein from natural sources like fish, chicken, turkey, pork, and lean red meat. Egg whites very quickly assimilated, but they are a PITA to separate out IMO.

Egg whites can be purchased at Walmart
(this is WAY cheaper than buying them from any supplement store)
I mix up a 50/50 mix of egg whites and egg beaters(99% egg whites) every morning for my breakfast burritos,
along with 70 grams of ON Pro-complex,
and finally topped off with oatmeal.
Man, my co-workers freaken HATE me...
I fill the air with my lovely pheromones every single day!

Luckily, I only work with overweight chics that freak out with what I eat and how I look, lol.
