Eating before sleeping ?

I've all sorts of info from people about it. but how long should i wait to sleep after my final meal ?

soo far i've been eating a meal after my workout...waiting about 3 hrs then go to sleep. Do i need to eat something before going to bed ? I heard the food you eat turns into fat.......

It depends on what you eat, but if you eat complex carbs wait at least a couple of hours.

Slow digesting protein. (Casein) I eat right before I lay my head down. I usually combine the protein with some fat to slow absorption even further. I usually either down a cup and a half of cottage cheese, a glass of skim milk and a couple of tbsp of natty pb, or lately its been a couple Slim Fast Low Carb shakes...great combo of mono & poly unsaturated fats (9g total fat & 20g of protein (calcium caseinate)per shake)

I always go with a Fat free CC......just a few calories, calcium, and protein. Don't worry about the natty pb...just track your calories/macros through the day. Healthy fats (natty pb, olive oil, nuts, avocados, fish) are DEFINITELY apart of a weight loss plan. Aim for .5g/lb of LBM of healthy fats. Ex. If you weigh 150, shoot for 75 g of fats a day.

I know it's a tough thing to do but you've got to take that Myth of "not eating before bedtime" and put it to rest. If you're serious about dieting, lifting, & cardio, you'll see nothing but results. I've been eating like this for over a year now and I dropped from 230 to 165. I've now added over 25 lbs of Lean Mass with a slow decrease in overall Bodyfat. Trust me, eating the right things at bedtime WORKS.
