Yep, its that time of year again. When the New Years resolution rolls into town for a week or two. The gym will be full of them this week and next, after that things get back to normal. Let's all huddle around and share stories. Surely we'll see plenty worth talking about. Last year I saw a guy with a jelly donut on the treadmill. No really.....
I brought two towels when i went in last night. One for me and the other to wipe down the waterslides (called benches during the rest of the year)
Funniest one last night was a potbellied middle age man trying to do an unassisted dip. He got up just fine, but as soon as he started to move downwards he lost it and fell to the ground in a heap. Twisted his ankle.
I haven't been in since the new year rolled around. I'll be up there to do chest in a bit, there better be some hotties to make up for all of the dumbasses trying to cram a life time of fitness into some special 8 week program.

Oh I can't wait to get back into the gym at the university, the first 2-3 weeks will be horrible because of all the transfers and new years resolution'ers. God I'm just going to try to go in early morning so I don't have to see all those people. I might go in later in the afternoon to do cardio though, see if any new people worth a damn pop up.
It wasn't bad tonight. I had at least five resolutioners that I could easily point out. Then again, I got there at about 7:15 and it was raining so hard that I could barely see while driving. So there was a handy pre-made excuse already for the resolutioners.

I always hate the beginning of the new year. The gym will be PACKED! Luckily it is usually worse at the beginning of the week. All of the cardio machines will be taken (that's why I do it in the morning) and everyone will be wanting to bench press (that's why I do chest on Satudays). Today is shoulders, so hopefully I can get to my stations.
a few new people at the gym today but not crowded.. i love going to the gym at lunch. dont have to worry about the tards leaning against machines telling you they are using them and now there will be twice as many again, glad i go at lunch lol
