What would be some good meal/food choices for breakfast. I am usually at a loss as to what would be good for me to eat in the morning that would not be loaded in fat or anything else I do not need. Like doughnuts, IHOP, etc.
i like an egg beater omlet with chicken/mushrooms/olives cooked with out butter of course. Smother it in pepper and ketchup.. yummy!
sometimes ill eat "low sugar" frosted flakes (i know, I know.. but at least it has 70% less sugar than regular) and drink a protien shake. usually knock down an apple or banana too. Super fast and easy. not perfect, but its ok
you need to eat something for breakfast to stop the catabolism ASAP.
Non-workout days I eat that nasty oatmeal with something to sweeten it a bit so I can stand it (sugar substitute, occassionally real sugar ), and drink a protein shake with creatine in there (2 scoops of Optimum Nutrition 100%Whey Protein, water and one scoop of ON's Preload Creatine).
Workout days I do the same thing but a protein drink with just skim milk and 2 scoops of Optimum Nutrition 100%Whey Protein and no creatine.... I save the creatine for that day until just after workout.
I will sometimes go with Frosted mini-wheats instead of oatmeal. I'm not cutting at the moment.
I am not super picky about what I eat for breakfast as long as it gives me the protein I need and isn't loaded with fat. I think I need to eat more though because I am usually starving again in 2 hours!
