OK, update already. I just got done with my first workout after that rest period. On bench I did the first set with the highest weight I had used previously, no problem. Added 10 lbs and did the second set, no problem, for the third set I added another 10 lbs, it was challenging, but I got a complete set. Looks like the rest thing does play a huge part! And I am going to have to up my goals here again because that extra 25 lbs on the bench is only 5 lbs away now. lol.
As far as growing , that should come easily now that the heavier weights are going up and I am back to the heavier eating and more protein diet again.
so, DallasGt01, I'd say take a break of about a week completely away from any workouts. And up the protein intake some and make sure you are getting enough rest at night. Eat enough to support growth and you should see some results.
