Took a vacation and lost 1 lb. lol

I finally took a vacation - first real one in 5 years! Anyway, I Was gone for 5 days and I didn't lift at all and I ate.... well..... not clean. But I did "play" in the ocean when I got the opportunity and ended up getting a little water cardio which wore my ass out. Anyway this morning I weighed in and I was down 1 lb! I was expecting to have gained a few.
Hopefully the week off from lifting will have some more positive effects here soon.

Later
Todd

That's cool. When I go on vacation I always seem to gain 10lbs, but I drink a lot on vacation too

Well, positive results to report.....

I did a chest and tri's workout and now after that rest I was able to raise the weight on the bench 5lbs for 2 sets then another 5 lbs more for the final set! SWEET!

Other ones I stayed at the same weight but was able to do more reps than previously.

Finally, a break from this seemingly stagnant workout.

but in the last 4-5wks, I've actually dropped about 13-14lbs!

after a vacation from lifting (basically if I've got too much sh*t to do) for about a week I noticed that I will stay about the same weight and if I max out i go up a bit in weight, but my overall body weight is the same. Of course any longer than a week and my routine gets royally screwed up and my weight starts to drop.

wel, I decided tomake a few changes based on this new info , so I have started eating A LOT more and making myself sleep more too. This has all been working great so far. Each workout I have added weight to and been able to do my reps. I think I am finally getting things right for once!

It always feels good when you can see/feel a difference

OMG! this is bad ass! I hit the bench again tonight and used the higher weight for the first 2 sets and did more reps each so I threw another 5 lbs on there and went the same reps. Next week I am going to go with that even higher weight to start! This is HUGE motivation to continue to eat cleaner and with more protein and get more sleep like I've been doing! I'm so fuggin' pumped. Wish I had gotten all this right a year ago.
I am up to the weight I was using when I had a spotter a while ago where I could not finish the set (failure) but now I am all alone. With the confidence of a spotter I bet I could use about 5 - 10 lbs more.

I'm not a big guy at all (6', 180) but September 5th I was lifting with 185lbs and had been stuck there for months with no gains. In this last month I have moved to where I am now lifting 200 and 205. One really strange thing, my weight seems to be the exact same - 180- 181. Wierd.

Sorry for the book.

That is probably because you have replaced that fat with more lean muscle.
