Soreness.....help..

I started working out(lightly) again but the following day's after I can barely move my arms and etc.. Is there any I can take that might stop some of the soreness? I heard weight protein might help but I kinda want some input before I spend $30. Thanks-J

Good nutrition after and between workouts. Stretching after workout. That's what really helps me. I don't really use the protein shakes as much, I just eat chicken.

Creatine really had an impact with how hard I could work, and how long it took to recover after a workout.

Try some, and be sure to take it with a lot of water.

BTW, a "light" workout should not affect you too bad. Make sure you are healthy enough to be working out.

Well normally it's not this bad but I play basketball in the heat for 3hrs and then head to the gym afterwards and workout for an 1hr.

I had the same problem when I started working out after I had Kendall, and once you get through the first couple weeks you'll get past quite a bit of the soreness. Just be sure you're eating healthy so your body is in good shape all around. Don't overdo it... thats one of the biggest mistakes in working out.

Stretching is the key. I stretch before, during, and after workouts. Never get sore.

Eat good between and after workouts like they were saying, but the most important thing is to work through it. It will never get better if you don't work it out.

Roids increase recovery time, So maybe a testosterone booster, or andro will help. If its your legs, run after a workout, or whenever sore. Stretch lots, and drink lots of water; suppossedly it helps to fulsh out built up lactic acid.

Glutamine is good for recovery as well.

Glutamine is good and vandel sulfate (sp?) is also good. Get you some V-12 Turbo. It has a mix of a lot of good stuff to help the muscles recover and grow faster. Streching will help also. You should always strech before and after you work out.

the V-12 is what im taking now.

in my opinion if you aren't getting some kind of soreness the next day, you aren't doing it right.

Also check your form, you may be causing yourself to become sore because of improper movement, hyperextension, etc.

I used to take Glutamine and never noticed anything....until I stopped taking it. Then I noticed that I stayed sore longer. After reading up on it I am not sure that it justifies the high price tag.

After a really had workout I still get sore, but not that bad. Matt's right. Check your form, especially if your feeling more pain than stiffness. It's easy to get hurt if you lift incorrectly. Then you're out for 6 months while the rotator cuff heals or worse

My step dad would always told me to work out the part of your body thats sore. so if its your chest then 30% of your max for about 3 to 4 times. top, middle and lower chest.
It sounds stupid but it does help, always works for me

p.s. my step dad was on the olmpic team for karate so he knows how to train
and also it dosnt work unless you litteraly cant move..lol

other than that, glutamine and water lots of both
streching after EVERY set realllllly helps too

LOL, this was true, however now the little bitch sucks it up and goes. I think he's making a little progress so it motivates him. Just keep working out the sorness wont be as bad after a few weeks.

Yea I went yesterday and sucked it up. Today I feel way better than before. I did some good stretching before I went and it seemed to help. I'm not lifting alot right now, I'm trying to slim down just a tad bit more. I'm gonna try that V-12 here pretty soon.
