Time to grow some GUNS!!

Switched my my tuesday bicep routine a bit.. nothing major.. just went from doing 4 sets of 5-6 reps with the 65s.. to 2 sets of 8-12 with the 55s, then drop to 45-50 and 2 more 8-12 rep sets.. same with hammers.. lighter weight.. more reps.. Slow strict movement.. hopefully it will kick start my arms into growing..

He already can't, he just decided he doesn't want to be able to clap, so he's trying to get bigger.

Oh and by the way, heavier weight makes your arms increase in size, while lighter weight more times increases definition primarily. I had a magazine with an incredible workout program for your arms. However it was an excessively long workout, and very very strenuous.

well.. im sitting at 13.5" cold.. and right around 14" pumped.. shooting for 14" cold. and 14.5-15" pumped.. but that extra 1" is tough to get..

oh.. and who said i was "jacked".. i would consider Ronnie coleman is "jacked" .. im just above average...

thats cool, how much do you weigh? 14" can curl 65 lbs? is that per arm? Or are you being sarcastic about measurements. Im about 17.5 pumped, and only curl around 45 sets of 8-10.

I was always under the impression that to gain size you go heavy with fewer reps instead of lighter with more reps. Mind you I have worked out in for ever, but when I did in college, I shot for 4 sets of each lifting type, straight bar, curved bar, and dumbbells, where I reached failure are 5 reps. If I could get to five for all 4 sets, it was time to up the weight. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but it worked for me.

That is correct. Heavy weight = Mass, while light weight = tonality and definition/slight mass increase.

i was joking.. im right at 20-20.5" cold.. around 20.5-21" pumped.. shooting for a natural 21.5-22" pump.

Doing light weight lots of reps wont necisarily make you look toned.. its all about body fat percentage.. if you are 50lbs over weight.. but doing light weight for 40 reps.. you wont look more "toned".
If you stick to 10-12 reps pers set.. do cardio and diet right.. That will make you lose body fat and apear more toned..
I gain mass equally if do 10-12 reps or 4-5 reps.. normaly i will gor faster on 10-12.. some times as much as 15 reps per set.. depends on your body.

took me 2.5 years to get from 14" to 20".. then i stoped for a few years.. tried to get back into it and couldnt. didnt have the time.. started back up basically in january trying to recoupe from a shoulder injury..and trying to work out as consistantly as possible. in the 2-3 years i took off.. my arms droped to around 19" and stayed there.. now they are back up. but trying to get them to grow more..

the only sup i take is Betastatin meal replacement after my work outs.. and some times some glutamine. Never have or will juice..

i tore my rotator cuff a long time ago. and then in jan, i was making a comeback at the gym.. got up to benchign 365 for sets of 15.. decided to get brave and put on 405.. it felt light. but i was doing adeep strechs and i guess wasnt warm enough.. it popped again.
i have recouped and and am real carefull. i bench real slowly now so my repps suffer.. im sticking to 405 for sets of 5-6 per set.. but i can do some more reps on inline with the dumbells as it doesnt seem to hurt it as much..

the humour of the matter is. when i had 14s.. all i wanted was 16s.
then when i hit 16.. it was all about the 18s..
hit 18s.. it was all about the 20s!
now im over 20... some days near 21.. and my arms still look like ropes to me.. its like " damn.. i though 20" would be bigger....". my wife makes fun of me and says i have Bigarexia.. which is when no matter how big you are.. you are never big enough... oh well. i can think of alot worse conditions to have...

Actually you're all wrong. You don't get tone from light weight high reps LMAO. You get definition and tone based on your diet. There is no set heavy weight equals gains. Everyone is different. Some people can gain from reps of 8-12 and some can gain from 4-6. Either way once again defintion and "tonality"() are based on body fat percentage and diet.

High reps workouts generally include some sort of cardio workout which helps to burn fat. Im sorry i didn't completely elaborate on my statement, and am still not going to because its pointless. But thank you for your "correction" or should i say Elaboration on a statement i made.

ruff daddy.. i 100% disagree.. i know plenty of people doing LOW rep mass movements.. who incorporate cardio into their work out. Doing high rep light weights has no relation to someone who is assumed to do cardio,

Somewhat agree here..Everyone is different. Diet is key. Very little difference in the workout for me between bulking/cutting besides diet! Once again, diet is key!!!

there is a difference.. i am willing to bet that if you where curling 75lbs dumbells for 6 reps per arm with 17" biceps.. you where using more swining motion then curl.. im talking STRICT.. .. if you say with 17s you can tucl 75 for 6 STrict.. i say bring it on..

I know, I'm about 17.5 pumped, and i have trouble with 50's 6 times the PROPER way. If you're talking a slow curl without using any sway motion at all, I doubt whether i could get it 5 times. But everybody's different. What type of workouts do you do whitelightning to build your arms?

i do bi's twice a week since its a small muscle group.. wednesday is heavy lower reps... with forced reps and some negatives towards the end.. and sat is lighter weight.. higher reps.. more concentrated movements..
