Atkins questions

I'm new to this deal and wanted to give it a shot. I've natually lost weight just by eating less and working out, but its hard when I have to eat at all different times and amounts due to being all over because of school.

I looked in the archives and didn't really find what I was looking for. Basically what needs to be done to get started on it, or is there just certain things to eat and not to eat? I looked on the Atkins website, but it just seems like a bunch of mombo jumbo.

To be honest with you I would rather cut back on calories and do morning cardio than to ever do an Atkins diet again but honestly it is an excellent way of loosing fat and muscle unless you have a high protein diet. The Atkins diet mainly focuses around meats. If your a carnivoure then this is your type of diet but eating red & white meats does get old fairly quickly.

If I'm not mistaken the whole object is to only consume a total of 20g carbs daily for the first two weeks getting you into Ketosis. Once your in Ketosis you purchase "keto stix" and slowly start introducing simple carbs into your diet while continuing to test yourself with the stix and making sure you don't go overboard and still remain in ketosis. "Damn do I sound repetitive!"

Some sample meals while on this diet for myself was:

Breakfast: eggs w/ham or bacon
Lunch: White/Red meats w/ salad
Dinners: Same as lunch
Snacks: "Natural" Peanut Butter, Cottage cheese, etc........

Hope this helps...........I'm sure I left some things out but this is just a rough outline of what the Atkins diet consists of, if you have any more ?'s just let me know and I will try to help you out

1.) Did you really pull up an old post just so you could whore in it?

2.) I hope someone resets your count for being dumb.

3.) All of you people that care so damn much about your post counts, that you will reply with a single smiley or a "lol" or nothing else productive... *sigh*

I hate people.
