Race Tracks have Corners?

I'm new to this deal and wanted to give it a shot. I've natually lost weight just by eating less and working out, but its hard when I have to eat at all different times and amounts due to being all over because of school.
I looked in the archives and didn't really find what I was looking for. Basically what needs to be done to get started on it, or is there just certain things to eat and not to eat? I looked on the Atkins website, but it just seems like a bunch of mombo jumbo.
