If her goal is fat loss then jogging first thing in the morning is best, and the reasoning is two-fold. Like Z said, it raises your metabolism first thing in the a.m. and will help keep her burning calories all day long. Secondly she will be running after a 6-8 hour fast, with an empty stomach your body has no choice but to tap into fat stores for energy.
