Ab gurus.

I need help with my obliques. Period. I don't really give a shit about appearance, I just want to build more speed into my swing. Eric, what did you do to improve your golf swing?

That'll totally fuck up my softball swing. I generate a lot of bat speed already, I'm just looking for a little extra. I ain't big enough to use pure muscle.

LOL, damn Guinness.

I do a core strength workout every morning with a 12 lb medicine ball and a stability ball. Probably could get away with 3 times a week, but I need to wake up my 40 year old bones every morning.

Crunches with the medicine ball 3x15

Reverse Crunches with medicine ball 3x15 (but the medicine ball between your knees that are bent and lift your legs into your chest)

Seated Twist with medicine ball 3x15
Sit, legs extended, circle the ball around your back, twisting as far as possible behind you, twist the other way pick it up from the other side and keep it going. I'll reverse directions every day.

Lying twists 3x15
Lay down, legs bent and in the air with the medicine ball inbetween your legs and twist your legs from side to side

Stability ball back extensions 3x15
Lay on the ball on your tummy, anchor your feet on something, go up and down

Leg Raises on the stability ball 3x15
Lay on the ball on your tummy, lift your legs staight up (hands on the ground for balance)

After that, about 15 minutes of stretching

Hamstring streches, knees to chest, leg crossovers, push up stretches (lie on your tummy and push up with your arms, keeping your trunk down).

Oh yea, Forrest had a very good idea and something I do every day as well. Weighted club swings. Albeit not a 30lb club.

I got a Momentus weighted club, swing it about 15 minutes a day. It weighs about 3 or 4 lbs.

Shiiiit... I can barely do 20 oblique crunches (40 total) and 45 center before I'm plum wore out. Granted I do this after a 3 mile run, but damn....I need to get in better shape. (01WC - You've got 10 years on me)
