how do i....

find out how much of my body is body fat (percentage)? I am interested to know. I know i am a little overweight, it isn't the disgusting overweight, but i have been skinnier. I am female standing at 5'5" and weighing in at (yes i am admitting this) 140lbs, and i dont think it is mostly muscle.

The most common would be caliper testing, it's not the most accurate, but just about all gyms have a set of calipers and someone trained to use them. If you are willing to spend the money there are electruical impedance scales (they measures the resistance to electrical current through the body, fat has different conductive propertiues than lean mass) out there that can be as accurate or more so than calipers, but be prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks on a good one.
