We doing it for charity? everyone go out and get people to donate 10c a lb or something and then we'll donate the money to Toys for Tots or Red Cross

I'm down for this contest - I know I won't win but it'll be fun to see what everyone else can really do

As I said in the other post, I can't join in on these festivities, but I would have liked to. You guys did give me an idea for my gym, maybe that fund raiser deal..

Stangcrazy, don't worry, I'm in the same boat. I can't bench didley squat right now. I hurt my shoulder a couple months ago, and it's finally letting me lift heavy again, except chest and slighly on shoulder. I'm only back up to 185 on flat, and haven't even tried incline yet. Sucks when that's about 1/2 of your max weight from before the injury.

Back, Legs, Arms..... different story!

Don't feel bad at all, I'm in great shape with a decent bench and he's still quite a bit stronger than I am, even with the injury.

I just got back in the gym last monday and haven't maxed out yet, but I got up 165 8x for 2 sets and 6x the 3rd set... I know there's a way to guestimate your max from that but I'd have to say it's probably around 180 right now. I'm cycling creatine and always have to use protein to hit my 180g/day. What part of town you in? I usually work out in the mornings up in Plano at the Y if you're ever up for it, I could use a partner... the 2 people I was working out turned out to not be morning people.

I live in Richardson but i am always busy because my step mom has a really bad case of M.S so i have to help out around the house quite a bit.. but its cool cause i get paid for it..

There are tons of formulas if you go out looking on the Powerlifting sites. I know the factor for ten reps is about 1.333. Meaning that if you can rep, say 225 lbs. for 10 reps then you can do 225X1.333 or 300 lbs. maximum. Those formulas are pretty close too.

yeah. my calcs are close to al..
i find the heavier you go.. it changes..

I find what ever i can do for 10 clean reps.. is 75% of my max...

metroflex gym is having a push and pull comp feb 7. dead lift and bench press but with some of the people that are entering you better be in a different class or strong as hell. I watched some guy bench 8 (45's) 2 (25's). that is crazy to me to see someone do that.

ok can someone calculate this bc i dont have enough weight to max out on.

benched 225 @ 15 reps .

I am trying to get back to what i was doing in highschool. Who knows tho i may already be past that.
Highschool-weight 200 body fat 17% age 18 Max- 335x1
Now- weight 180 body fat 9% age 20 bench #- 225x15 reps.

Just go a head and throw yalls 2 cents in on what u think i can do.
I am just too poor to get a gym membership.HAHA.

Damn, I remember when I was in "shape". The summer after we graduated I bet I got down to a sub 8% body fat from running and lifting.

like I said before if you guys wan't to do a real comp for dead lift and bench press Metroflex gym in arlington is having a comp feb 7 I think it is 45 to compete and they have different classes and the only rule is it has to be a clean lift, you can use what ever you like. IE baby oil on the legs wrist straps, etc...
