BF% Scales

Anyone ever check them against a more accurate caliper reading? I bought one a while back and have been watching my % but I was curious if it's a real number.....

Depending on your water content, muscle mass etc... they can be pretty close or very inaccurate. Just depends on the person.

All of the bioimpedence meters (professional versions) I have used have shown that I was 20% BF when I am actually about 7%. Some people though will get accuracy within 1-2%.

yeah, I'm really thinking about getting one. I don't have a scale at home and the guys at the gym keep messing with the one there (big one like you see at the doctor's office)

Honestly, I would invest in a quality skinfold caliper. Try to find a used Lang caliper on Ebay and then learn how to use it. Much more accurate and always consistant.
