DLP Bulbs?

Just wondering if anyone out here knows of a good place to get a deal on a bulb for a DLP TV? I've got a 55" RCA Scenium that just lost it's bulb for the second time in a couple years....last time I replaced it I seem to recall it was about $200. I hate to spend that much again b/c this is no longer our primary TV in the house, but I also don't want to just let it sit not working either.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

You should be able to find them for a little over $100 shipped. Post the model of the TV or lamp.

It's an RCA HD50LPW164 - YX2. The bulb appears to be #265866.

I've been searching around for the best deal on a non-generic, and this looks to be a pretty good deal with free shipping - http://www.bulbsolutions.com/RCA_265...p_p/265866.htm

Now that I've pulled it out it appears that it had a bit of dust in there, that probably contributed to low ventilation from the cooling fan....so hoping that is why it didn't last as long this last time. The original bulb lasted about 4 years (when it was our primary TV)....looking back at my paperwork, I found that I put this last one in - in March of 09', so only about 1.5 years out of it.

When it went out last month I decided it was time for a new TV in our living room....picked up a new Samsung LED, and I'm still amazed at how much better the picture is.

Probably won't find a better deal than that. Pull the trigger on that one.
