I've probably captured half dozen VHS tapes and then burned it to a DVD. You just need a set of composite video, L/R audio cables. I actually used the composite audio in and S-Video in as my old Super VHS VCR had a S-Video out. S-Video yields just a hair better transfer than the yellow composite video cable. However, either way it looks pretty good. And, of course, there are end user settings on the capture mode. If you set it to best quality, it will take a while to render. Just depends on you.
