Actually, you don't need any kind of enterprise/professional grade software to do that kind of project. Windows Movie Maker is elaborate enough to do everything you need. Videos, Picture slideshows w/background music, titles/captions, photo transitions/effects, etc... And under the Help Topics tab on the tool bar it provides you fairly detailed information on how to make a project Video CD or DVD, using storyboards and time lines, how to import and edit your multimedia files, etc.. That's what I used to make my Wedding Video DVD. Even can create a elaborate Disc Menu.
I don't know what OS you have, but it's a OEM Windows program. And if you have a Light Scribe DVD burner, which most newer PCs have, then you can make a very professional looking project disc. If you have Light Scribe media, of course.
I'm a long way from SW Ft. Worth or I'd offer to help you out. And I've got a busy day time schedule and am behind as it is.
Maybe someone else will chime in here that lives in your area. I know we have a lot of computer professionals on this site, other than myself.
